Swadeshabhimani


Swadeshabhimani Ramakrishna Pillai (1878-1916)
 He was born at Neyyattinkara in Thirruvana
nthapuram.
 He was the editor of ‘Malayali’ published from
Kollam.
 In 1906 he became the editor of Swadeshabhimani.
 He was deported from Kerala for criticising the government
in 1910.
 ‘Karl Marx’, ‘‘Kerala Bhasholpathy’ ‘‘Benjamin
Franklin’’ Mohandas Gandhi, ‘‘Socrates’,
‘‘Dharmaraja Nirupanam’ are his famous works.
 ‘‘Ente Nadukadathal’’ is his autobiography.
 He died on 28 March 1916 at Kannur.
 His memorial is situated at Payyampalam in Kannur.
